Limiting beliefs are anchored by negative experiences. This pain was usually caused by authority figures, like parents, teachers or your peers and friends. This results in feeling stuck.
These troughs could also be from the world, like from social media and influences like smoking, gambling, and drinking alcohol. They sound like;
Beliefs have been propelled into us from childhood like big boys don’t cry, or good girls don’t get angry. Because you have done the timeline, you see where the mistaken beliefs stem from.
Below are some other examples of limited views and the stories you might say to yourself. These are from past beliefs that have been anchored into your character. Once you are aware of them, you can use a stance against feeling stuck, like in the example below.

The following activity will aid you in looking at your flawed beliefs using the timeline. They will bring you out of that feeling of being stuck. Fill in the questions below.
The beliefs on the timeline are in the past and are about your memories and nothing more. So, they are your history. They can’t be changed. They are the memories which are stored in dark places of your mind and are hard to get to.
Memories are the programs that continually play, and even though trying to change your program is difficult, you must! You have a choice to accept they happened and to admit they are not conducive to the present. But then, choose to move on to fulfilment. You can see a similar blog here.
By continually acting differently, it will slowly get imprinted into your life. The present is what you have control over. It is your chance to take responsibility and to stand up! Even though you may feel out of your comfort zone, you can build up strength by challenging life one pebble at a time. You will go against years of programming, it will seem difficult at the beginning, but once you see the wins, you will not look back.
“The past is history. The future is a mystery. This moment is a gift; that is why this moment is called present. Enjoy it.” Allan Johnson.
